Forget the Pootle round Prestbury - Chacun Pour Soi is a true champion

It was certainly a year to celebrate for Irish jump racing and the annual rankings highlight their dominance on the track.

Two Irish horses, Chacun Pour Soi and Minella Indo, shared top spot overall on RPRs for the 2020-21 season after picking up marks of 179 for their final wins of the season.

Chacun Pour Soi was dominant all season in the two-mile division, beating the best of the rest by daylight in four of his five starts. He failed to win the Champion Chase, but the Pootle round Prestbury, as it should be known, was not a proper championship test as the field clocked a slow time and finished in a heap.
