The eight-runner field for the Grade 2 BoyleSports Juvenile Hurdle (3.10) – the feature race on the last day of Fairyhouse's Easter festival – is seven-eighths another private battle between Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins as they continue their quest for the trainers' title.

Elliott's team of three may be reduced to two, as last month's Fred Winter winner Veneer Of Charm runs in Monday's Grade 2 open-age novice hurdle.

Elliott had also entered Triumph Hurdle hero Farclas for the race, but has instead opted for Mitchouka and recent Limerick winner Pete So High, as well as Veneer Of Charm.

Mullins' quartet includes the only Triumph Hurdle representative in the field, fifth-placed Saldier, and three in the Sullivan Bloodstock Limited colours. They are Gowran winner Saglawy, Wexford scorer Msassa and Eoline Jolie, a recent recruit from France.

The field is completed by the Joseph O'Brien-trained Grey Waters, last seen finishing a distant third behind Triumph Hurdle one-two Farclas and Mr Adjudicator in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle at the Leopardstown's Dublin Racing Festival.

McManus mob-handed in big handicap

Mullins runs eight and Elliott four in the Grade A RYBO Handicap Hurdle (4.10), but just as notable is the six-strong JP McManus contingent which includes Coral Hurdle winner Off You Go.

His team is completed by topweight Landofhopeandglory, Tigris River, Destin D'Ajonc, Boherbuoy and Gran Geste.

Five of Mullins' eight runners – Abbyssial, Voix Du Reve, Max Dynamite, Meri Devie and Pravalaguna – were beaten at the Cheltenham Festival.

Mares Chase up for grabs

There are only five runners in the Grade 3 John & Chich Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase (5.15), but it looks an open affair on ratings. Youcantcallherthat and Dinaria Des Obeaux renew rivalry after fighting out a Grade 2 last time and that may be the big draw.

Asthuria's form received a boost when Benie Des Dieux, who beat her last time, won the Mares' Hurdle at the festival, while Bonny Kate returned to form last time and Magic Of Light meets Dinaria Des Obeaux on more favourable terms this time.
