Two-time festival hero Cue Card and Gold Cup winner Coneygree are among the 12 former stars who will parade on the first day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The annual parade, which is organised by the Retraining of Racehorses charity (RoR) and sponsored by the Peter O’Sullevan Trust, will take place at 12.30pm. Champion Chase winners Master Minded and Dodging Bullets also feature.

Di Arbuthnot, chief executive of RoR, said: “In terms of what they have achieved in their racing careers and also in their second careers, I think this year’s line-up is probably the strongest we have ever had."
