Crystal Ocean gives clear Leger pointer in latest exercise

Crystal Ocean
Sir Michael Stoute
The all-weather gallops were in demand after a scorching bank holiday dried the turf, but all surfaces come alike to the recent Goodwood winner who looked better the further he went in his exercise over a mile. The son of Sea The Stars should get the trip in the St Leger, a race Stoute won in 2008 with Conduit.
Midi
Sir Michael Stoute
Stoute's cricketing pal Michael Holding only got to bed at 1am after returning from the second test at Headingley on Tuesday night but it was worth the early alarm call to see this Frankel colt glide up the Al Bahathri under Ryan Moore. A full-brother to stablemate Mori, the son of multiple Group 1 winner Midday has some nice entries.
Persuasive
John Gosden
Gosden was first up the Al Bahathri with his team before heading off to the Doncaster sales, and this classy grey was to the fore. The four-year-old did not fare badly on her belated return when fifth to Roly Poly in the Group 1 Prix Rothschild at Deauville in July and may well meet her conqueror again in the Group 1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on Saturday week.
Gronkowski
Jeremy Noseda
Noseda and his wife Kerri's latest project, named after an American Football player who stars for the New England Patriots, looks well named as he is built to walk through a wall or two. The son of Lonhro is a nice prospect for next year and was on top in his workout at second lot.
Great Work !
Pleasant Surprise
Luca Cumani
If there were loyalty cards for using the watered gallop then Cumani would have a gold one. He had the facility to himself on Tuesday morning where this recent Newmarket second was seen to good effect under Jamie Spencer, and the daughter of Mastercraftsman is booked for the Group 3 Prix de Lutece at Saint-Cloud next Friday, the final three-year-old-only contest of the European season at that level.
