Senior trainer Tom Dascombe has called on the BHA to clarify the length of racing's shutdown, which was extended indefinitely on Wednesday, and warned horses are "going out of training left, right and centre".

Dascombe also called for the sport to resume as soon as the government lifts lockdown measures, which were on Thursday extended by at least three weeks until May 7.

"I was surprised that the BHA made an announcement before there was anything set in stone by our government," Dascombe said.
