Cheveley Park hoping Davy Russell will be fit to ride Envoi Allen at Punchestown

The enticing prospect of a reunion with Envoi Allen awaits Davy Russell if he is passed fit to ride at the Punchestown festival in a fortnight's time.

Owners Cheveley Park have indicated they hope Russell will be aboard when their star novice chaser returns to the track seeking to make amends for the first fall of his career at last month's Cheltenham Festival.

Chris Richardson, managing director of Cheveley Park, said in reference to Envoi Allen: "I think, regarding the big boy, I would hope that, if Davy is back, he will be offered the ride.
