Musselburgh to host 250 racegoers in tentative start to Scottish reopening
Musselburgh will be the first course in Scotland to welcome back spectators on May 25, albeit just 250 of them, after the Scottish government confirmed coronavirus restrictions will be reduced to level 2 on Monday.

While crowds of up to 4,000 will be able to attend racecourses in England from Monday, Musselburgh’s meeting a week on Tuesday will be the first tentative steps taken by Scottish racetracks to reintroduce spectators after Ayr decided to hold its fixture next Wednesday with no paying crowd.
