BHA agrees link-up with data firm to clamp down on betting fraud

The BHA is stepping up its efforts to combat betting fraud after the governing body hired sports data technology and integrity provider Genius Sports to develop an automated price monitoring system that will identify all irregular betting patterns in real time.

The system will be used closely with BHA integrity analysts and will aid on-course stewards in increasing the efficiency of raceday integrity monitoring.

Genius Sports, who already work closely to identify match-fixing within Major League Baseball in the US and with the Premier League, has agreed a deal that will cover all fixtures across all British racecourses.
