Britain’s largest racecourse group would be happy to sit down with horsemen to discuss the possibility of a summer jumps festival, having responded favourably to Dan Skelton's call for Britain to stage a Galway-style fixture in the height of summer.

Skelton, who leads the British trainers’ championship after a prolific summer and strong start to the core jumps season, called this week for enhancements to the summer jumps programme, suggesting more opportunities to earn black-type victories as well as a summer festival akin to Galway in Ireland.
