Sandown Placepot picks: Paul Kealy chases the £250,000 guaranteed pot

There's a £250,000 guaranteed Placepot pool at Sandown, but the chances are you're going to need to find the winner of the first (12.05) as one of the five declared, Active Duty, ran at Ludlow on Friday.

Hopefully it will be as easy, as Gary Moore has won the race with an odds-on shot for the last two years and his looks to be the clear pick.

His victory at Auteuil in April looks good form as the third has won a Listed hurdle in France since and runner-up Blood Destiny won by five lengths at odds-on for Willie Mullins last month.

looks pretty bombproof in the second (12.40) and after that we can load up.

I'd be keen to take on Gemirande in the next (1.15). is nicely treated on his first run last season, must run well for in-form Warren Greatrex and is potentially well handicapped if none the worse for his recent fall.

In the next (1.50), form when third behind Amarillo Sky and Fugitif is obviously red-hot, while ought to go close in suitable conditions.

I have a feeling the Tolworth (2.25) is more competitive than the market suggests. Authorised Speed's jumping might fail him in a competitive heat, so is preferred from the head of the market, while looks to have been overlooked and can run well at a price.

The last leg, the veterans' final (3.00), is ridiculously hard but and look sure to be players, as does if Sam Twiston-Davies can keep his jumping together.
