David Baxter with his best two-year-old bet at Thirsk on Monday

Soldierpoy
4.30 Thirsk
1pt winSoldierpoy was a selection for this column earlier in the month, and nearly did the business on debut at Windsor, finishing second.
That was a highly promising effort, and I think he can go one better here. Soldierpoy showed great pace at Windsor, which should be an asset at Thirsk, and can hopefully negate the slightly tricky draw of stall one.
Trainer Tom Clover still looks to be in good form, and he had another juvenile perform well at Windsor last week. Clover has only ever had one two-year-old run at Thirsk before, and it was a winner, so sending Soldierpoy to the course looks significant.
