The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' two Saturday wagers from Warwick and Wetherby

EYECATCHER

Fast Buck (1.18 Warwick)

Reopposes the short-priced favourite in Warwick's 2m handicap chase, Brave Seasca, on 12lb better terms for an 11-and-a-half-length third at Ascot last time, and has been given a big chance by the assessor. That was a hot novice handicap and Fast Buck stepped forward again having improved with each start for Dan Skelton since joining the stable. His early price looks generous considering the high-class form he had in the book for Willie Mullins a couple of seasons ago, and this time last year he was rubbing shoulders with Shishkin at Grade 2 level. It would be no surprise if he proved much better than a mark of 133 as the Skelton team continue to get to know him.

HANDICAP FANCY

Ballyandy (2.47 Wetherby)

The handicapper's increasing tendency to drop older horses quickly for below-par runs can bear fruit for connections of Ballyandy, who is looking incredibly well treated off a mark of 137. This soft-ground lover gets his favoured conditions in Wetherby's 2m3½f handicap hurdle and it was only a year ago he was holding his own in Grade 1s and Grade 2s. Admittedly he has not been at that level in three starts this term but two of those runs were over 2m on ground too quick and he is 14lb lower than went sent off a 10-1 shot for the Welsh Champion Hurdle on his return in October. It was a step in the right direction for Ballyandy when he finished fifth of 13 to the well-treated Tamar Bridge last time and off 3lb lower again in a weaker race, his claims are there for all to see.
