Preview

Team Liquid v Cloud9

League of Legends, LCS Spring Split

Team Liquid rose to the top in the recent LCS Lock In but they were given a reality check in their opening match of the 2022 Spring Split, having suffered a surprise defeat to 100 Thieves.

This week, bookmakers are opposing them in their first match against Cloud9 and rightfully so.

Liquid finished with a 1-1 record last weekend but Cloud9 won both of their matches against Golden Guardians and Evil Geniuses and had themselves reached the semi-finals of the Lock In earlier this year. At 8-11, they are worth a bet.

Minnesota ROKKR v London Royal Ravens

Call of Duty League, Major One online qualifiers

Stage five major winners in 2021, Minnesota ROKKR were one of only a handful of Call of Duty League teams to keep their roster together for the new season and it looks it will pay off.

They played only one match in week one of the Major One online qualifiers but prevailed 3-2 against OpTic Texas, coming out on top in both games on the Berlin map.

This Saturday's opponents London Royal Ravens - who Minnesota will face in their second match of the weekend - also started well but went into this tournament with low expectations and punters should not rush to back them so early in the season. Instead, experienced ROKKR are worth chancing at a decent price.

MAD Lions v G2 Esports

League of Legends, LEC Spring Split

While Friday's LEC Spring Split action begins with a clash between top and bottom when Rogue face Astralis, it concludes with one of the tightest betting heats of the weekend when MAD Lions take on G2 Esports.

Not a lot separates the teams - G2 have a 6-3 record and MAD Lions are 5-4 from nine matches - but it is worth remembering the Lions have been arguably the more consistent in recent months.

They made the quarter-finals of the League of Legends World Championship late last year with pretty much the same roster as they have now and new rookie bot laner William "UNF0RGIVEN" Nieminen is making good progress for them. At the prices, they are the bet in this one.
