Ugo Humbert could keep it close in his home city

Nikoloz Basilashvili is having an excellent season and he is a popular choice to win his Moselle Open second-round clash against Ugo Humbert.

Hamburg champ Basilashvili, a 6-2 7-6 victor over Kenny de Schepper in round one, could bring his greater experience to bear. But Humbert, who dumped Bernard Tomic 6-7 6-3 6-4 in his opener, could put on a show in his home city of Metz.

The 4-7 about Humbert win­ning at least a set could oblige, but that's a bit short considering Basilashvili has been well backed to oblige in straight sets.

Humbert doesn't receive many games on handi­caps, so instead a bet on the match going the distance may be the order.

Naomi Osaka put in a blinding display to hammer Dominika Cibulkova 6-2 6-1 in the US Open heroine's Tokyo opener.
