Bernard Tomic was fined his entire £45,000 Wimbledon prize-money haul after being accused of underperforming in his first-round clash with Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and his on-court antics make him a difficult punting proposition against compatriot Matthew Ebden in Atlanta.

Tomic managed to overhaul home hope Frances Tiafoe in the opening round but the three-set match was played at a low standard which disappointed spectators.

Tomic is extremely talented but isn’t a player who enjoys a scrap and his countryman Ebden, who brushed aside Kamil Majchrzak in the first round, has the ability to unsettle him.

Ebden made the semi-finals in Atlanta last season, taking champion John Isner to three sets following wins over Donald Young and Marcos Baghdatis, and he rates a good bet to beat his fellow Aussie.

In Hamburg, a chance can be taken on Pablo Carreno Busta upsetting German hope Jan-Lennard Struff.

The pair are tied at 2-2 in their personal series but the Spaniard is particularly strong on the clay – he has made four ATP finals on the slower surface – and he represents a touch of value.
