It's an all-South American clash between Nicolas Jarry and Federico Delbonis in the semi-finals of the Swedish Open and the more experienced performer could win the day in Bastad.

Jarry looks a fine talent for the future, but while he is no mug on clay courts it's possible he may grow to do his best work on faster terrain.

Delbonis, while an able performer on fast surfaces, has done much of his best work on the slow red courts and so it's no surprise to see the Argentinian well backed in the early markets to defeat his younger Chilean opponent.

Delbonis is a master at making the most of the opportunities that come his way. He has also played some career-defining matches for his homeland in the old-format Davis Cup.

In the WTA Lausanne semis, Bernarda Pera will probably frank favouritism against Fiona Ferro, but the Frenchwoman is useful and it would be wrong to ignore her claims.
