Improving Hyeon Chung has the game to oust home favourite Zverev
Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie compete in Estoril
ATP Munich Open
The men on the ATP tour can breathe a big sigh of relief with no Rafael Nadal in action this week.
Top seed Alexander Zverev, who will be hoping that he can win his first title of the season in Munich, is unlikely to face an opponent capable of beating him until the quarter-final stage.
However, that could be where he falls. Hyeon Chung has been heralded as a possible future world number one and he can confirm why many people think he is so talented by beating Zverev on the way to a tournament victory.
The youngster hasn’t played since losing in the quarter-final to Miami champion John Isner, so he arrives in Germany fresher than most, and his clay-court game is arguably his strongest asset.
He beat some good players on the surface last year, Zverev among them, and reached the semi-final of this event before he fell to Guido Pella. A better player this time around, Chung will take a lot of beating.
Recommendation
Hyeon Chung

ATP Estoril Open
Brits Kyle Edmund and Cameron Norrie are in the field in Portugal but neither looks likely to be able to contain Kevin Anderson or Pablo Carreno Busta, the two top seeds, and the Spaniard appeals most for win purposes.
Carreno Busta was coming back from an injury in Barcelona last week but still managed to reach the semi-final and will be difficult to beat now that he’s had some match practice.
The weather has been unsettled in the Portuguese region for qualification, but everything is set fair for a good run from the clay-court master.
Recommendation
P Carreno Busta

ATP Istanbul Open
Marin Cilic is a strong favourite in Turkey and it’s likely his big game will be too much for most of his rivals, but an each-way chance is taken on Aljaz Bedene.
The clay-court specialist has been handed a kind draw, with as easy a route to the final as he could have wished for, and he could be value to advance a long way in the competition.
Bedene's form has been decent recently and there are few players in his half with the ability to beat him on the surface if he’s on song.
Recommendation
A Bedene

WTA Prague Open
Both tournaments on the WTA circuit this week are worth the same money to the winner, but Prague looks the more competitive.
Top seed Karolina Pliskova had an excellent time of things in Stuttgart last week, dropping just one set on the way to victory, and if she serves with the same potency she will be tough to beat.
There are few players who will be able to trouble her if she continues in the same vein.
Recommendation
Karolina Pliskova

WTA Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem
Elise Mertens will be looking to justify her top seeding in Morocco but Laura Siegemund is the one to be on.
She is one of the few clay-court specialists in the field and put up a valiant performance in Stuttgart last week. If she can put in a similar effort, there won’t be many who can handle her.
Recommendation
L Siegemund
