Fresh Del Potro could post another quick win

Dusan Lajovic is finally showing better form and confidence with straight-sets wins over Karen Khachanov and Richard Gasquet in his opening rounds of the Madrid Open.

But the likeable Serb, for so long in the shadow of Novak Djokovic, may need to find even more to deny the fresh Juan Martin del Potro in their third-round clash at the Caja Magica.

Del Potro returned from a deserved rest from competitive action with an impressive 6-3 6-3 dismissal of Damir Dzumhur in his Madrid opener.

But, while the fourth seed is no stranger to biding his time in matches, he is capable of sweeping aside Lajovic in two quick sets.

It's quarter-finals day in the WTA Madrid event and BT Sport 1 are showing live coverage from 11am.
