Women's top seed Naomi Osaka crashed out of the French Open at the last-32 stage when she was beaten in straight sets by Katerina Siniakova.

Osaka, a top-priced 7-1 second favourite to win the tournament as day seven began, went down 6-4 6-2 against the 5-2 underdog.

Siniakova was cut from 250-1 to 50-1. She meets 14th seed Madison Keys in the next round.

Simona Halep is the 15-8 favourite after sweeping past Lesia Tsurenko 6-2 6-1, while Iga Swiatek lost her first set against Monica Puig 6-0 but fought back to win 0-6 6-3 6-3.

Novak Djokovic was 3-1 second favourite for the men's event after cruising past Salvatore Caruso for the loss of eight games while 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka beat Grigor Dimitrov via three tiebreaks.

Borna Coric, a 2-5 shot, was upset in five sets by Jan-Lennard Struff, who takes on Djokovic in the last 16.
