Novak Djokovic is 5-2 to win the French Open and hold all four Grand Slam titles after he eased into the quarter-finals at Roland Garros with a 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory over German Jan-Lennard Struff.

Djokovic was at his ruthless best on Court Phillipe-Chatrier and so too was Dominic Thiem, the Austrian ending French interest by beating Gael Monfils in straight sets to join the Serb in the last eight. He is 7-1 to go one better than last year in Paris.

Kei Nishikori defeated Benoit Paire in a match held over from Sunday and will face 8-11 tournament favourite Rafael Nadal for a place in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

Elsewhere Alexander Zverev defeated Fabio Fognini in four sets and defending champion Simona Halep confirmed once again that she is the one to beat in the women's draw as she swatted aside teenage challenger Iga Swiatek 6-1 6-0.

Halep is now 5-4 to retain her title, with Sloane Stephens a 9-2 shot and Ashleigh Barty 13-2 to claim her first Grand Slam title in Paris.
