Lesia Tsurenko may have done most of her work for the season by retaining her Acapulco title early last month and the Ukrainian looks the wrong favourite in her Monterrey Open clash with Danielle Collins.

Collins played a number of blinding matches in Miami last week and appears to have what it takes to make some serious career progression.

She's odds-against to upend Tsurenko, who struggled to pip Nao Hibino in her opener, and that could be value.

Briton Naomi Broady has plenty of fire in her belly and she can be backed with a handicap start of 5.5 games against 2012 Monterrey heroine Timea Babos, who is often overrated by layers.

All remaining second-round matches in Charleston were due to be played on Wednesday night.
