Pablo Carreno Busta has said he is ready to do the business when legendary duo Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal call it a day, but while retirement may still be a long way off for those greats the Spaniard needs to start imposing himself against players of the ability of Kevin Anderson, whom he meets in the Miami Open quarter-finals.

Anderson leads Carreno Busta 4-0 in their personal series, but there is little between the pair and while the South African has done some of his best career work in the last 12 months the Spaniard may go on to be a superior performer.

Punters can definitely consider taking the 2-1 about Carreno Busta registering his first victory over Anderson, but given their head-to-head record an interest in the outsider capturing at least a set may be a more sensible punting option.

Alexander Zverev should beat Borna Coric but is no certainty to do so after a rather patchy start to the season.

Zverev has had issues with his former coach, the hugely respected former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero, and the German may have been better to let his play do the talking instead of taking to social media to denigrate the Spaniard.

Obviously Zverev's form is likely to improve in the coming months with the European clay season just around the corner, but Coric has an experience advantage over his opponent and considering he is finally doing his talent justice the clash could be closely fought.

In the women's singles, Sloane Stephens has given anyone who has backed her at odds of up to 66-1 an absolute thrill with her run to the semi-finals in Miami.

The American's run may not end there against Victoria Azarenka too and punters can consider backing her at odds-against.

US Open champion Stevens is showing what she is capable of and even though Azarenka has done remarkably well to progress to the last four soon after returning to competitive tennis, the Belarusian could struggle to justify favouritism against the Floridian who was a superb Flushing Meadows champion last September.
