Tournament preview

The UK grass-court season would usually be in full swing by late June with Wimbledon on the horizon but tennis fans will have to make do this year with the Battle of the Brits exhibition event which will take place with the aim of raising funds for NHS charities.

Broadcast on Amazon Prime, the Battle of the Brits begins at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton on Tuesday and is one of several events organised for British players over the next few weeks.

Britain's top eight male singles players, including Andy Murray, will compete in two groups of four with the top two in each group going through to the semi-finals.

Murray will be joined in the Tim Henman Group by James Ward, Liam Broady and Kyle Edmund while British number one Dan Evans is in the Greg Rusedski group alongside Jack Draper, Jay Clarke and Cameron Norrie.

Sky Bet have priced up the event, making Evans the 6-4 favourite, with Murray, who hasn't played since November, a 7-4 chance. Edmund, meanwhile, is 3-1 and could arguably represent the best value given he won the New York Open in February.
