Jordan Thompson is the oddsmakers' favourite to reach the final of the Antalya Open with a victory over Miomir Kecmanovic, but while the Australian looks a title winner in waiting it could pay to respect the chances of the Serb.

It has been hot in Turkey this week with temperatures in the mid-30s. Players have struggled to compete at their peak in the oppressive conditions, and with Thompson and Kecmanovic both able performers on grass courts it could pay to expect a close encounter.

The clash featuring over 22.5 games is a shade of odds-on and it could pay to go down that avenue. The biggest danger to that obliging is probably Thompson winning in straight sets, but Kecmanovic, a 6-3 6-4 winner over Victor Troicki in the quarter-finals, has done enough in Antalya to suggest he can be competitive.

Angelique Kerber is a hot favourite to see off 300-1 Ons Jabeur in the semi-finals of the Nature Valley International in Eastbourne.

The German, who will be defending her singles title at Wimbledon in the coming fortnight, is likely to progress to the final at Devonshire Park but Jabeur has been dismissed too hastily on grass before by the oddsmakers so merits respect.
