Daniil Medvedev played brilliant tennis to come from a set behind and beat world number one Novak Djokovic in the Cincinnati Masters semis and the Russian is odds-on to defeat David Goffin in Sunday's final.

Medvedev has reached finals in Washington and Montreal in the last two weeks, losing against Nick Kyrgios and Rafael Nadal, and he is showing no signs of fatigue in his bid to go one better in Ohio.

The 23-year-old was just too good for Djokovic in the second and third sets on Saturday and he was clinical when he needed to be, taking his chances to break serve when they presented themselves.

Goffin has seen off Taylor Fritz, Guido Pella, Adrian Mannarino and Richard Gasquet on his way to the final but none of those players is close to Djokovic's class and a clash with Medvedev looks like a step up.

The Belgian is a confirmed battler, however, and while Medvedev won in straight sets in their only previous hard-court meeting at the Australian Open earlier this year, Goffin emerged victorious in five at Wimbledon last month.

Medvedev is the right favourite, but Goffin is no pushover and this clash could go the distance.

Madison Keys is the favourite to beat Svetlana Kuznetsova in the women's final and, while the Russian's return to form has been the story of this tournament, it's hard to argue with the odds.

Keys has beaten Kuznetsova in all three of their meetings and she is at her most comfortable playing in front of an American crowd, there is no great desire to take on the favourite.

Recommendation
Three total sets in D Medvedev v D Goffin
