Adrian Mannarino did some fine work when reaching the final of the Kremlin Cup on Sunday, but this is another week and another city and it could be a different story as regards the Frenchman.

Mannarino, who found only Andrey Rublev too good in Moscow, will hope to continue his fine form in his Vienna Open curtain-raiser against Sam Querrey.

However, the American, while pretty exposed as a performer these days, has shown signs of a return to somewhere approaching his best in recent weeks and could be difficult to stop.

Punters can back Querrey to win the match, but at slightly enhanced odds it may be worth siding with the big-serving Californian to successfully concede Mannarino a start of 1.5 games.

It would be unfortunate were Querrey to triumph in three tiebreak sets, but he's probably more likely to progress in two long sets instead.

In Basel, Swiss battler Henri Laaksonen could offer a shade of value to keep it close against last-16 opponent Jan-Lennard Struff.
