ATP US Clay Court Championship: Wednesday tips and match betting

Bernard Tomic landed a gamble when defeating Denis Kudla in his US Clay Court Championship opener, but the Australian may find Marcel Granollers a tougher nut to crack on the Houston clay.

Tomic has struggled on the slow red courts for much of his time as a professional and he's up against a Spaniard who may be enjoying an Indian summer in his career.

Granollers was probably more effective on hard courts than on clay, but having grown up on the red terrain he still knows the surface back to front.

BT Sport 3 are showing live action from the WTA Samsung Open in Lugano from 10am, when Jil Teichmann is due to play Veronika Kudermetova.

The Russian is the better player, but homeland battler Teichmann can count on plenty of support and so Kudermetova fans should be careful.
