It's easy to see why Coral and Ladbrokes want to be best-priced about Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for his Open Sud de France second-round clash with Gilles Simon.

Tsonga has never made the Montpellier final and Nice native Simon could receive plenty of support.

But Tsonga was far from embarrassed in reaching the last four of the Open Sud de France in 2017 and 2018, losing out to Alexander Zverev and Lucas Pouille, both of whom went on to lift the trophy.

There has been early support for Tsonga and he's 4-7 to follow up his 3-6 7-6 6-4 edging of useful compatriot Ugo Humbert and progress to the quarter-finals.

Simon had a good time of it last year and he has started 2019 in pretty decent nick too. But he may not quite be at the level he sustained in 2018 while Tsonga looks as fit as he has been for a good few years. The northern Frenchman can be backed to land the away win.

Recommendation
J-W Tsonga
1pt 4-7 Coral, Ladbrokes
