The majority of the early support has been for Jeremy Chardy in his all-French Montpellier quarter-final clash with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, but his opponent looks the one to be on.

Tsonga has never made the final of the Open Sud de France but he has made the semis on three occasions, so it's not as though he doesn't care about the event in his homeland.

Chardy hails from Pau so should receive plenty of crowd support. But while he remains a fine match-player and all of his hard-court clashes with Tsonga have been close, the most important point could be that the northern Frenchman is playing his best tennis in years.

There is no easy way to support Tsonga on this occasion – he is 2-5 to win and 4-9 to successfully concede a handicap start of 1.5 games – so the best option could be to chance him making light of a 2.5 concession.

Tomas Berdych will probably defeat Filip Krajinovic but the prices are hard to dispute.

Recommendation
J-W Tsonga -2.5 games
1pt 8-11 general
