Madrid derby to go the way of Real

A key weekend in the La Liga reaches the crescendo of El Derbi on Sunday with Real Madrid hoping to extend their advantage at the summit with victory over reigning champions Atletico.

And with a far superior attack, a slightly tighter defence and a great run of form behind them, everything points to a win for Real.

The only blot on their copybook is the potential absence of Karim Benzema but the forward is fighting to be fit and could still lead the line.

Even without the Frenchman, though, Luka Jovic is a decent deputy and Vinicus Junior, who has bagged ten La Liga goals this season, is destructive on the flank.

Carlo Ancelotti's men are on a nine-game winning streak in all competitions, while Atletico have lost to Liverpool, Milan and Mallorca since the start of November and have lost their defensive bite.

They will be without Luis Suarez and Kieran Trippier for this one and are worth opposing at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Goals should flow in French capital

Given they are 1-50 to win the Ligue 1 title, it is perhaps no surprise that Paris Saint-Germain have taken their foot off the pedal recently, drawing with Nice and Lens.

And they are worth swerving in the result market against a resurgent Monaco.

The principality outfit have won three of their last five games and key to their turnaround has been an attacking mentality which saw them score at least twice in matches against Real Sociedad, Angers and Metz.

And unsurprisingly for a team containing Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, PSG have been top-heavy. There have been more than three goals in four of their last seven matches, and that is the best bet in this one.

Leverkusen can maintain their hot streak

Bayer Leverkusen won their Europa League section despite defeat to minnows Ferencvaros in midweek and can now turn their attention back to consolidating a Champions League berth in the Bundesliga.

Eight wins from 14 matches helped them move up to third before this weekend's games and they flexed their goalscoring muscle in a 7-1 demolition of Greuther Furth last time out in the league.

Patrik Schick netted four times on that occasion and is a constant danger and, although victory may not be as comprehensive this time, they are a good selection at 6-5 to defeat Eintracht Frankfurt.

Frankfurt have won only four times in the league this term and only one of those successes has come at Deutsche Bank Park.
