Week Five preview

At just 1-2 with Hills, former rugby star Ugo Monye is the overwhelming favourite to be next to get the boot from Strictly Come Dancing but there may be more juice in backing Dan Walker at 4-1.

Monye missed Week Four due to a bad back and a rumba is hardly the dance with which to make a return to action.

Renowned as one of the hardest routines for males to get to grips with, Monye does indeed look up against it but there may be an element of sympathy that helps to prolong his stay in the competition.

Tilly Ramsay may also have the judges and the public on her side following this week's body-shaming incident in which an LBC radio host called her chubby, while Judi Love will get to stay a while longer after a positive Covid test ruled her out of the equation this week.

She will be breathing a sigh of relief having survived the last two dance-offs but Walker may not be so lucky come Sunday evening.

He was the lowest scorer last week of those taking part this Saturday and he looks to be making very little progress.

He dances a Viennese waltz this week with partner Nadia Bychkova and although it should look nice, it may not be stirring enough to lift him up the leaderboard.

Beeb presenters often go long in this competition but Walker's race may be run this week.
