Preview

AJ Odudu was on Friday forced to withdraw from the final of this year's Strictly Come Dancing due to injury leaving just two celebrities to fight it out for the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Three dances stand in the way of Rose Ayling-Ellis or John Whaite becoming the show's 19th champion and there has been little between the pair throughout the entire series. Both have consistently scored in the high 30s and between them they have been in the dance-off only once.

But bookmakers can see only one winner with EastEnders actress Ayling-Ellis and her partner Giovanni Pernice as short as 1-20 to waltz off into the sunset with the title.

Ayling-Ellis is the show's first deaf contestant and stole the judges' and viewers' hearts alike with her couples' choice routine to Symphony by Clean Bandit, which featured a segment of silence dedicated to the deaf community.

She will perform that routine once again as well as the quickstep and a showdance, which both finalists will take on.

Former Great British Bake Off winner Whaite, who forms one half of Strictly's first all-male pairings, has also enjoyed a memorable series. He has been asked to reprise his Week Seven rumba by the judges and chosen to perform his barnstorming paso doble to the theme of Pirates of the Caribbean alongside his showdance.
