Third-round preview

Kyren Wilson has battled hard to reach the third round of the World Open and the Warrior looks ready to win another skirmish when he takes on Jack Lisowski.

Wilson showed his trademark grit to come from 2-0 down to beat the tough Robbie Williams 5-2 in the opening round before defeating Hossein Vafaei in a deciding frame at the last-32 stage.

Those matches were far from plain sailing for Wilson but the Warrior knocked in a century against Vafaei and breaks of 56, 69 and 81 against Williams, suggesting his scoring power is there should this match develop into an attacking contest.

Lisowski has dropped just two frames in beating Luo Hongha and Xiao Goudong to reach this stage but Jackpot has managed just four breaks of 50 or more in those matches so it's unwise to get carried away by the impressive scorelines.

Wilson is rated an 8-11 shot to reach the quarter-finals and he can make his consistency pay.

Elsewhere, tournament favourite Judd Trump faces a tough test of his credentials against the classy Joe Perry.
