Welsh Open: Day four betting preview, tip and TV details
Improving Duane Jones can reward his home following
TV: Live on Eurosport 1 from 10am Thursday
Recent results suggest Duane Jones is improving at a rate of knots and the red-hot Welshman can book his place in the last 16 of his home event, the Welsh Open, with victory over Robbie Williams.
Jones's surprise run to the semi-finals of the German Masters earlier this month may have been considered as a freak result by many, but the 25-year-old has silenced his critics with victories over Xiao Guodong and Judd Trump in Cardiff this week.
His 4-2 win over Trump, who has lifted the Masters and the Coral World Grand Prix since the turn of the year, was particularly impressive and the scoreline could have been even more flattering.
Williams has dropped just one frame in seeing off Rod Lawler and Anthony Hamilton but he may need to find more against a confident Jones, who is in the form of his life.
Recommendation
D Jones
