Kyren Wilson to beat Neil Robertson
1pt 11-8 general

Monday's first-round matches

Monday’s first-round clash between Neil Robertson and Kyren Wilson should be a cracker and at 11-8 it’s one that the Warrior can be backed to win.

Robbo remains one of snooker’s top talents, and has lifted the Masters and English Open crowns this season.

However, there have been some underwhelming performances from Robertson this term too. The Australian was beaten in the opening-round of last month’s German Masters and the Thunder from Down Under was also beaten by John Astley in the first-round of the UK Championship.

Robertson is a phenomenal break-builder when on-song, but his game can often wander when he is dragged into a battle and he is likely to get just that against the Warrior.

Wilson has been performing well this season and that should start to be reflected in his results. The Kettering cueman has the all-round game to compete with the Aussie and he looks worth supporting.

Gary Wilson and Williams contest Monday’s other first-round clash and it’s a game that the Welshman should edge. However, Wilson does have the break-building talents to cause problems and the prices seem an accurate reflection of what may happen.
