Mark Selby has stated his intention to give his absolute all in his quest to win the International Championship but while the world number one is still the one to beat according to the oddsmakers, he's going to have to do it the hard way in China.

Selby's quarter-final opponent is former top man Neil Robertson and the Leicester cueman may also have to defeat red-hot pair Judd Trump and Mark Allen to lift the title.

Trump and Allen are in action in Daqing early on Thursday morning while Selby dominates proceedings in the later fare with Ding Junhui having been dumped out of the tournament by Matthew Stevens, who next meets Martin O'Donnell.

Robertson finished with back-to-back tons to oust Yuan SiJun 6-4 in the last 16 but the Australian was making heavy weather of it until the later stages and Selby may get opportunities to impose himself on the clash early and boss his opponent.

Recommendation
M Selby
1pt 4-6 general
