Ding Junhui made light work of defeating Jack Lisowski 4-1 in his Coral World Grand Prix opener but David Gilbert, whom the Chinese number one meets next in Cheltenham, was also on top of his game in a 4-0 thrashing of Yan Bingtao.

Gilbert, a pig-farmer before taking up his cue as a day job, could carry on the good work and last week's German Masters finalist may make Ding toil.
