Brazil got their World Cup campaign off to the perfect start by hammering Malaysia 5-0 in their opening Group A contest and they can move closer to a place in the knockout stages with a victory over Finland.

The Samba Boys are spearheaded by top amateur Igor Figueiredo, who showed he has plenty of ability when reaching the last 16 of the Welsh Open last year.

Figueiredo teams up with the capable Itaro Santos and the pair showed they can outperform the sum of their parts when beating a Scotland side made up of top potters John Higgins and Stephen Maguire in this event in 2015.

The dangerous but inconsistent Robin Hull is the star name in the Finnish side but his partner, 24-year-old Heikki Niva, has never played in a major event before. Finland were easily brushed aside 4-1 in the group opener and it’s worth backing Brazil to add to their woes.

Malta, tipped at 11-2 in Racing Post Sport, caused an upset by beating 2-9 shots Australia 3-2 on Monday.
