Nigel Bond and Louis Heathcote couldn't be further apart in terms of experience but bookmakers are struggling to split them when it comes to their second-round Betway UK Championship clash.

Bond is in his mid-50s and while he clearly isn't the force of old the former world number five is still capable of some decent performances.

The Basildon man beat the talented Luca Brecel 6-5 in the opening round in York, knocking in breaks of 60, 79 and 113 along the way, and that should prove a welcome boost to Bond's confidence.

The Essex potter has managed wins over Fergal O'Brien and Daniel Wells this term and that's pretty decent form in the context of this contest.

Heathcote has some decent victories on tour this term, including a 6-5 win over Hossein Vafaei in the first-round at the Barbican Centre. However, quotes of 11-10 perhaps slightly overrate that opening-round victory and the young cueman may be outfoxed.
