Punters face some tough picks on day two of the Betway UK Championship qualifiers, but it may still pay to place some faith in youth against experience on Tuesday.

Si Jiahui entered many punters' notebooks last season with some hugely promising performances. It hasn't really happened for the Chinese youngster in 2020, but it could still be worth siding with him against seasoned campaigner Rob Milkins.

There has already been support for Si to shine in his opener, so back the outsider with a handicap start of 2.5 frames.

Chris Wakelin has been struggling to produce his best in recent months and he could be up against it when he meets another promising sort in Louis Heathcote.

The younger Heathcote looks to have a pretty decent all-round game and could make Wakelin toil in his UK opener.

It's odds-against that the clash lasts for ten or 11 frames and that is worth considering.
