There are some fascinating fourth-round matches in store in the Betway UK Championship on Thursday with Judd Trump, Jack Lisowski and Kyren Wilson favourites for their last-16 outings, but the best value could lie in the clash between unheralded Chinese pair Lu Ning and Pang Junxu.

Pang, 20, looks a fine talent for the future and while he has made a name for himself with some sterling efforts in Milton Keynes in the last week and a half, he has threatened to make a minor breakthrough for some time with a raft of positive displays.

However, the way Lu has grasped the nettle in the latest Marshall Arena bubble bash suggests his scoring may prove too much for his young compatriot.

He's 8-11 to progress to the quarter-finals, which can be backed, but the 4-5 about Lu making the highest break of the encounter may be even better value.

Lisowski has been playing better in recent days but he may still be vulnerable against the seriously capable Xiao Guodong, who has quietly been stepping things up in recent weeks.

Wilson faces Graeme Dott, who thrashed Stuart Bingham earlier in the tournament. Time is probably running out for the Scot, Crucible champion in 2006, to add the UK title to his trophy cabinet but he's giving it a good go.
