11-2 Malta may surprise Australia in Group C-opener

Malta look a value bet at 11-2 to stun Australia in their opening snooker World Cup Group C contest at the Wuxi City Sports Stadium.

Australia’s Neil Robertson is in a different class to the other three cuemen (Kurt Dunham and Malta’s Tony Drago and Alex Borg) but it’s worth remembering that he will only play two frames in this best-of-five clash.

Dunham will be responsible for the other two racks as well as one half of the doubles partnership and that could be a weakeness that Robbo is unable to compensate for.

Dunham has won just two matches in 18 events he has contested on tour and although he has youth on his side he still has a lot to prove.

Drago has dropped off the tour but he should be match ready having competed in the recent Q School events and Borg is a decent enough performer.
