Wasps may take time to get into their stride at Newcastle

Newcastle have just one win to their name this season, a narrow squeak against relegation favourites Worcester, but they are two-point jollies at home to a reshuffled Wasps side.

Last season's top tryscorer Christian Wade is left out Wasps while fellow winger Elliot Daly is on the bench alongside powerful number eight Nathan Hughes.

Newcastle, meanwhile, welcome back their dangerous wing men in Vereniki Goneva and Sinoti Sinoti and this looks set to be an open, high-scoring game.

Wasps have scored 12 tries in their last three games and shipped 11, and while the Falcons have not matched that firepower consistently, they did run in five tries at Leicester.

Dai Young lamented Wasps' poor start against Sale last week, when they shipped the first try and Hughes was yellow-carded inside the first minute, and after a second six-day turnaround and a long journey, plus the line-up changes, it would be no surprise if the visitors are slow out of the traps again.

Wasps have the game-changers on their bench though to assert authority as the game progresses, though, and a wager on the hosts to lead at half-time but the visitors to take the points is worth chancing.

In the Pro14 Cardiff, fresh from an emphatic victory over heavyweights Munster, give up 24 points at home to the Cheetahs while Edinburgh are 14-point favourites over visitors Benetton.
