Wales bounced back from a heavy defeat to New Zealand at the start of their autumn campaign with a deserved win over an in-form Argentina side last week, and bookmakers are expecting a winning margin of more than 20 points against tier-two Georgia.

The teams met in the group stage of the last World Cup when Wales were comfortable 43-14 winners, but two meetings between the pair in Wales have been closer.

In the Autumn Nations Cup in 2020 Wales triumphed 18-0 while a 2017 meeting ended 13-6 and Georgia were left feeling aggrieved that enforced uncontested scrums at the end had denied them the chance of at least levelling the scores.

Wales made wholesale changes to their line-up on both those occasions, but while coach Wayne Pivac has taken the opportunity to rest a few players, he has still named a strong side, particularly in the backline where Louis Rees-Zammit, George North and Josh Adams offer plenty of attacking threat.

Georgia's strength has traditionally been up front - six of the starting pack play in France - and they are living up to their reputation as the clear best of the rest in Europe, having claimed a fifth successive Rugby Europe Championship title this year.

Their autumn campaign has featured a 34-18 win over Uruguay and 20-19 defeat to Samoa last weekend when they showed plenty of attacking ambition and power going forward, holding a six-point lead with five minutes to go against 14 men.

But a lack of defensive discipline at times must be a concern and a Wales backline packed with pace could catch them out.

Georgia have shown enough to suggest they can hold their own for spells but Pivac's decision to go with a strong side points to a reasonably comfortable Welsh victory.
