Jaguares v Bulls

Sky Sports Arena, 9.40pm

Jaguares are worth backing to bounce from home defeat to the Lions last Saturday with a victory over the Bulls in Buenos Aires.

Jaguares lost three home games last season and each time they were beaten they responded with victory on their next outing in front of their fans, including a 54-24 success over the Bulls.

The Bulls trampled on the Stormers in Pretoria last Saturday but have only won two away games in the last two seasons.

Stormers v Lions

Sky Sports Arena & Mix, 3.15pm

Lions flanker Marnus Schoeman scored a hat-trick in last Saturday's 25-16 success over the Jaguares in Buenos Aires and he is worth backing at 7-2 to cross the whitewash in Cape Town too.

The Stormers are bound to be much better at Newlands than they were at Loftus Versfeld last week but the Lions have mixed-up a power game with expansive rugby to mainly good effect for a number of seasons now.

Last year, they won 26-23 in the Mother City and crossed four times and the feelgood factor of a satisfying victory should overcome jet lag.

Recommendation
M Schoeman to score a try

Sharks v Blues

Sky Sports Action, 1.05pm

The Sharks were superb in Singapore last week and deserve to be supported back in Durban at 11-10 against the Blues.

Jet lag is likely to be less of an issue for the hosts than the visitors from Auckland because of the easy-nature of their tussle against the Sunwolves compared with the Blues' clash with the Crusaders at Eden Park.

The Blues will be happy at pushing the champions so close in head coach Leon McDonald's first game at the helm but six road victories over the last two seasons is not enough evidence to justify favouritism at Kings Park.

The Sharks ended last season with five straight wins in the 'tank'.

Recommendation
Sharks
