Super Rugby round eight: match previews, tips and TV details
Reds v Stormers | Highlanders v Hurricanes
Reds v Stormers
Sky Sports Action, 10am Friday
The Reds got off the mark with back-to-back victories in rounds five and six but they went back to square one last week, losing at home to the Rebels.
The Stormers have lost their last two matches, both on the road, and have lost international forwards Pieter-Steph du Toit and Eben Etzebeth for the rest of their mini-tour.
The South African outfit like to play for territory but they may struggle with key players missing in the pack and the Reds can edge this one.
Recommendation
Reds to win by one to 12 points
1pt 9-4 Betfred
Highlanders v Hurricanes
Sky Sports Action, 7.35am Friday
The Hurricanes are narrow favourites to keep up their strong start in Dunedin against a Highlanders side who are struggling to keep pace.
The Canes' only two defeats in this campaign have been to the champions Crusaders, while the Highlanders have failed to win since round two.
Both sides have strong scoring records so this could be close and high-scoring but the visitors can edge it.
Recommendation
Hurricanes -2
1pt 10-11 general
