The Western Province-franchise finished their tough Australasian tour with a worthy win over Australian Conference leaders the Rebels in Melbourne last Saturday and they have won both previous games in Cape Town this season including a 35-8 success over Jaguares in round five. Last year they beat the Blues 37-20 in the Mother City after jetting back from Dunedin.

The Brumbies are refreshed by a bye week but continue to do most of their best work in Canberra. They have lost six of their last ten away games by 13 points or more including trips to Christchurch, Brisbane and Wellington this campaign.
