There's history between Harlequins and Stade Francais and that should ensure this evening’s opening European Challenge Cup clash is a hard-fought affair.

Quins easily saw off Stade in the quarter-finals of this tournament two years ago but the final of 2011 was a heated affair as Quins scored a try in the last minute for a 19-18 success.

The last time these two met in the pool stage was in the 2008-09 Heineken Cup when Quins stunned their hosts 15-10 in a Stade Francais showpiece then stole victory in the return with a drop goal after more than 30-odd phases with the clock well into the red.
