Sale's performances in the Premiership have had pundits convinced that they are real title contenders as they look to have added an attacking edge to the solid defence they showed last season.

Five wins from five with four try-bonus points has been an almost-perfect start, especially given their opponents have included Exeter and Leicester.

The Sharks' defence will face a test against visitors Harlequins but their record of ten tries conceded is the best in the division.

Three of Sale's victories this season have come by ten points or more including a 26-16 success at champions Leicester, who were outscored by four tries to one, and they are asked to give up a nine-point handicap.

None of the five games Harlequins have played has been settled by a double-figure margin but they have shipped at least four tries in every match and their high-octane attacking play may be dampened by Sale’s physical defence and a wet weather forecast.

Sale were victorious in both meetings with Quins last season including a 36-14 success at the Stoop. With Manu Tuilagi back in the line-up, the Sharks look good for another impressive home win.
