Harlequins v Leicester

Where to watch

Channel 5 & BT Sport 2, 4.30pm Saturday

Best bet

Leicester
2pts 2-1 Hills

Match preview

Harlequins host their annual Big Game at Twickenham Stadium against a struggling Leicester Tigers side with just one Premiership win to their name.

The Tigers' poor start to the season continued with a home defeat to Exeter last time out. But they put in their best performance of the season to take a 19-7 lead only to let victory slip against a ruthlessly efficient Chiefs side. They won't face that standard of opposition this time.

What makes Leicester's dismal run so hard to fathom is the quality of their line-up, and new arrivals Tomas Lavanini and Jaco Taute stood out in the performance against Exeter. There were plenty of positive signs and if Geordan Murphy's men can build on those they look overpriced against Quins.

Harlequins have recorded back-to-back wins but still don't look thoroughly convincing and trailed 14-0 early on in their most recent win at Wasps.

Last season Leicester upstaged Northampton on their big day, winning 23-15 at Twickenham, and they can play the spoiler role again.

Northampton v Gloucester

Where to watch

BT Sport 2, 2pm

Best bet

Gloucester +6
2pts 10-11 general

Match preview

Northampton were knocked off top spot after losing at Sale last weekend and they could face another tough battle against a determined Gloucester outfit.

The Cherry & Whites beat Sale away in their opening match and have since gone down by three points at Leicester and four at Quins. This could be an entertaining, high-scoring contest and backing the visitors to stay within a six-point handicap looks the best bet.
